TESTOSTERONE PELLET THERAPY

Improve Your Quality of Life With Bioidentical Hormone Pellets

No more messy creams, daily pills or injections … just an easy, fairly steady and safe delivery of bio-identical hormones!

Testosterone is an essential hormone in both men and women that has a substantial impact on essential functions in the human body. A testosterone deficiency can lead to many health conditions that take away from our quality of life. Testosterone replacement using pellet implants is one of our preferred methods of hormone optimization at the Natural Path. It has proven to be safe, reliable, and restorative to the body. There is a great deal of research showing the safety and effectiveness of testosterone pellet therapy for men and women. To learn more click here.

In some cases, we do find a transient surge of hormone soon after pellet insertion. We may also see levels decline around weeks 9-16. We monitor levels, and if we find that hormone pellets are leading to inconsistent levels throughout the 3-5 month cycle, we will explore other forms of hormone delivery. It is important to note that all hormone deliveries will cause ups and downs of hormone levels based on how they are broken down.

What medical studies show with hormone pellet therapy

In medical research studies, pellet therapy has been shown to be highly effective in relieving many troublesome menopausal symptoms. We have seen hormone pellets help with maintaining bone density, improving sleep, increasing libido, improving sexual response/ performance, offering relief from depression/irritability/anxiety, while increasing energy, mental focus & clarity.  It can also help with motivation, exercise endurance, and a basic improvement in the quality of life.

Aside from menopausal symptoms, we have also used hormone pellet therapy to help patients with migraines and menstrual headaches, as well as urinary incontinence. Testosterone therapy has also been shown to be preventative against breast cancer, osteoporosis, Alzheimer’s, and Parkinson’s disease.

Getting Started with Bio-Identical Hormone Pellet Therapy

Dr. Madda or Dr. Phillipo will discuss your specific goals, review your health history, answer questions, ask questions and order necessary lab work at the time of your initial hormone therapy visit. Your doctor will also discuss the benefits and risks of treatment to allow each patient to make an informed decision. Once the required lab work is completed and reviewed, a treatment plan will be designed that is best suited for your individual needs. Your treatment plan will include hormone pellet therapy, along with dietary and lifestyle recommendations to enhance the hormone optimization plan.

There are very few known risks and side effects with this therapy. Implantation of the pellets takes less than 10 minutes and is done in our office. After the procedure, you can resume normal daily activities except for swimming, bathing, and strenuous exercise (please wait 3-4 days).  You can expect to feel improvements within the first week after bio-identical hormone pellet therapy. Lab work will be requested between pellet insertions to fine-tune the treatment. Typically, women will require a pellet insertion every 3-5 months.
