Getting Started with Bio-Identical Hormone Pellet Therapy
Dr. Madda or Dr. Phillipo will discuss your specific goals, review your health history, answer questions and order necessary lab work at the time of your initial hormone therapy visit. Your doctor will also discuss the benefits and risks of treatment to allow each patient to make an informed decision. Once the required lab work is completed and reviewed, a treatment plan will be designed that is best suited for your individual needs. Your treatment plan will include hormone pellet therapy, along with dietary and lifestyle recommendations to enhance the hormone optimization plan.
There are very few known risks and side effects with this therapy. Implantation of the pellets takes less than 10 minutes and is done in our office. After the procedure, you can resume normal daily activities with the exception of swimming, bathing and strenuous exercise (please wait 3-4 days). You can expect to feel improvements within the first week after bio-identical hormone pellet therapy. Lab work will be requested between pellet insertions in order to fine tune the therapy. Typically, women will require a pellet insertion every 3-4 months.
