Frequently Asked Questions About P-shot™

What is the P-Shot™?

The P-Shot™ involves separating out the growth factors in your own blood and then re-injecting these growth factors or platelet rich plasma (PRP) back into your body in a specific penile injection.

What does the P-Shot™ do?

The P-Shot™ will accelerate the regeneration of healthy tissue, stimulate collagen and improve local blood vasculature. Overall, this therapy results in increased blood flow to the penis and offers strong, reliable erections in most male patients.

How long does the P-Shot™ take? Is it painful?

Generally, from start to finish, the P-Shot™ takes less than an hour. The majority of the time is spent spinning your blood in our state of the art centrifuge that is specifically designed for PRP procedures. The injection itself takes less than 5 minutes and most patients feel little to no discomfort. The benefits of the P-shot™ will last for about 1 year in most patients.

What happens during the P-Shot™ Procedure?

The procedure takes under an hour and starts with a physical examination and the application of a topical numbing cream. Blood is taken from the arm and placed in a centrifuge, where platelets are processed to release growth factors. This liquid is then injected into the penis. After the procedure, you can resume your regular activities. The P-Shot™, in combination with pumping, yields optimal results, so you’ll be asked to pump for a few weeks following your procedure. While some patients see results immediately, most will see the full effects in a few weeks.

How much does the P-Shot™ cost?

  • Initial PShot™ includes Tadalafil and Dr. Joel Kaplan pump: $1500
  • 2nd (or more) PShot™ (does not include Tadalafil or pump): $895
  • Additional $600 to add 1cc Voluma to PShot™
