Dr. Madda’s Power Breakfast for P3 of the HCG Diet
Every morning, our very loved Dr. Madda fills up our Vita Mix with all of the nutrient dense foods below and creates his own “Power Breakfast.” This is how he fuels himself for the entire day until dinner. It keeps his energy strong and gives him what he needs to get through the day feeling fabulous. We decided to make a recipe out of this concoction and even modify it for our HCG Diet patients who are on phase III of the HCG Diet Protocol at The Natural Path.
Give it a try — all the ingredients and directions are listed below! We keep all of the ingredients handy in our freezer in pourable containers to make the morning routine quick and easy.
DR. MADDA’S POWER BREAKFAST (HCG DIET PHASE III FRIENDLY)
A nutrient packed way to start the day
*Increase Energy*Decrease Inflammation*Burn Fat*Feel great*
In your Blender …
- 1-3 tbsp hemp seeds
- 1-2 tbsp chia seeds
- 1-2 c frozen berries, organic
- 1-2 cups unsweetened almond milk, coconut milk or water
- 1-2 scoops Sun Warrior protein powder; classic vanilla
Optional Add-ins … (not so great on phase III of the HCG Diet)
- 1 tbsp unsweetened coconut flakes
- ½ -1 cup plain, Greek yogurt; organic
- ½ frozen banana
- 1-2 tbsp pumpkin seeds
What do do to make this HCG Diet Friendly Drink
Place all of the ingredients in your blender and blend away until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Store any extra in a glass container in your fridge for later. Due to the chia seeds, the mixture can thicken up a bit. You may need to just give it a good shake or add a bit of pure water.
Consider this something to make when you feel like you are having a sweet craving or if you feel hungry and want to feed your cells some pure nutrition.
