Semaglutide for weight lossWe have seen some truly remarkable results in our patient population on our Semaglutide Medical Weight Loss Program.

I love working with both Semaglutide or Rx HCG as a TOOL to help with weight loss. There is no magic here, so making dietary and lifestyle changes is a must if you

want to maintain your losses. Semagluitde is a wonderful TOOL to make practicing a lifestyle diet easy and then in time it becomes second nature. We have helped so many patients trransform through this program and it is INSPIRING!!!! Here are a few tips to bring your weight loss and your Semaglutide experience to the next level.

1. Try Intermittent Fasting

This is one of my favorite health protocols. Simply pick and 8 hour eating window and a 16 hour fasting window and see how you do. Most will report an increase in energy and mental clarity. This protocol also allows the body to do some necessary “housekeeping.”

2. Eat Smaller Portions

Semaglutide will make you feel full , so plan to eat more easily. I suggest eating smaller meals and using smaller plates and bowls. Overeating on Semaglutide can lead to unpleasant side effects.

3.  Eating Slowly and Chew your Food

We have been blessed with salivary enzymes in our mouth to help us breakdown our food. It also takes your brain @ 10-12 minutes to register that you’are satiated.  Slow down, chew your food, enjoy your food and bring midfulness to the table.

4.  Follow the Semaglutide Food Plan

I find that it is VERY IMPORTANT to work on creating a lifestyle diet while you are using Semaglutide. If not, you run the risk of gaining your weight back when you are finished. We need to reset habits and patterns with food. Using Semaglutide as a tool to help shift your diet is an excellent use of the medication. I ask my patients to follow y Semaglutide food plan atleast 90% of the time. Those that follow it usually have minimal side effects, lose weight with ease and keep the weight off when they go off of Semaglutide.

5. Avoid Foods and Food Combinations That May Cause Side Effects

Although we highly recommend our food plan on Semaglutide, it is okay to have the occasional treat. Just keep in mind that foods such as higher fat foods, processed foods, and foods with added sugar can be tough to digest and increase the chances of nausea.  You may also have to be careful of food combining. Due to the delayed gastric emptying on Semaglutide food will sit in your stomach longer.

6. Drink a LOT of Water! HYDRATE and add ELECTROLYTES!

Hydration is needed for our bodies. By adding electrolytes to our water we can ensure that we hydrate better on a cellular level. Hydration can help with nausea and other side effects. We also store toxins in our fat tissue and want to make sure we are excreting the toxic load when we burn the fat stores. Track your water to be sure that you get  2-4 liters every day.

7.. Use Caution with Alcohol

Alcohol is not a great player when it comes to weight loss. It increases blood sugar and can trigger fat storage. It can also upset the stomach while you’re taking Semaglutide. We do find that many of our patients either do not feel well when they drink alcohol on Semaglutide or simply have an aversion to it.

6. Keep Weight Loss Goals Reasonable – shoot to Lose 1-2 lbs MAX each Week

This program offers slower weight loss. It is not a quick fix. It offers weight loss at a slow, steady and healthy rate of 1-2 lbs per week for most (some more and some less).  We also have to think of all the reasons that we hold water and why the scale may have not moved that day. Constipation, menses, sodium intake, sore muscles, etc are all reasons that we can have stalls on the scale while we are still burning fat.

7. Exercise Everyday!

Regular exercise should be a non-negoitable in our lives.  Getting regular exercise while on Semaglutide can help you achieve better results. If you have an exercise routine please keep up with it (while listening to your body). If you are new to exercise, start walking every day.
