The BEST HCG Diet Cole Slaw
I am always experimenting with recipes for the HCG Diet program in my kitchen and this is one I have been perfecting over the summer. Give it a try! It does include dairy so this may not be the best for those who are dairy sensitive. It can be a nice side dish or even a main course as it does include a protein and a vegetable option for the day.
Ingredients in the Refreshing Creamy Lime Coleslaw for the HCG Diet
- 4 cups of shredded cabbage
- 1 -1.5 cups of 0% fat organic Greek yogurt
- 3 tbsp of freshly squeezed lime juice
- 1/4 tsp lime zest
- 3 -4 tbsp of finely chopped, fresh cilantro
- a pinch of black pepper
- 1/2 tsp finely ground pink himalayan salt
- 1/4 cup chopped green onion
- 1/2 tsp cumin, ground
- Stevia to taste if you like sweetness
Creating the HCG Diet Friendly Cole Slaw
First you can get out a small bowl and mix together the lime juice, lime zest, Greek yogurt, stevia, green onion, salt, pepper, cumin and green onion. Next, place the shredded cabbage into a large mixing bowl and add the yogurt mixture that you just prepared in the smaller bowel. Divide the mixture into 2 servings. Top with green onion for decoration!
If you want to add a shredded apple this would give you a protein, veggie and fruit all in one meal.
