The Natural Path Medical Weight Loss SYNERGYrx

AOD-9604/low-dose Naltrexone/Methionine/Inositol/Choline/B-12 Rx weight loss therapy formulation

After months of collaboration with a research based pharmacist specializing in the field of obesity and metabolic medicine, we have formulated a cutting-edge weight loss therapy that when combined with our specific SYNERGYrx food plan has shown to provide long-term weight loss in many of our patients.

In my 15 years of working with patients on weight loss, I have learned that carrying excess wHCG Diet Clinic Portlandeight on the body can bring down physical health, but also takes a toll on mental wellness.  Being over-weight can sit heavily on the mind of so many of my patients. As the pounds come off, I see a remarkable transformation in body, mind, and spirit.  It is inspiring!

We have successfully led over 5000 patients through our medically supervised weight loss programs at The Natural Path.  There is so much LEARNING and KNOWLEDGE gained through this process. You will reset habits and patterns with food and learn to eat in a way that will optimize your body composition. It is a journey … a life-changing one for so many.  We are so excited about the results of our safe, effective formulation SYNERGYrx capsules and our specific dietary protocol. SYNERGYrx is an oral medication taken daily and the SYNERGYrx food plan does not involve any caloric deprivation.

SYNERGYrx capsules are a specific, synergistic blend of AOD (anti-obesity drug) 9604, low dose Naltrexone, B-12, and Lipotropic nutrients – MIC (methionine, inositol, choline) along with our specialized diet plan. Our SYNERGYrx weight loss therapy can be customized to meet the specific needs of each individual.

The SYNERGYrx formulation is a synergistic combination of ingredients that when combined with our dietary protocol can result in sustained weight loss and the ability to make diet and lifestyle changes for the long-term. This program has been a wonderful addition to the medical weight loss programs offered at The Natural Path.

+ AOD 9604

Anti-Obesity Drug-9604 (AOD-9604) also known as the “fat burning peptide,” is a synthetic analog of the human growth hormone. It is among the rare peptides that have won FDA approval in the United States. The molecule is a peptide fragment that has been cut out of the C-terminus, whose amino acid (AA) sequence takes after the HGH lipolytic fragment. This region of the human growth hormone has been shown to be in control of burning fat by stimulating lipolytic and anti-lipogenic activity of fat cells. Recent clinical research studies have shown that AOD-9604 has the potential to show a reduction of body fat in the mid abdominal area in both obese, over-weight and average weight people.

+ AOD 9604 Research

AOD-9604 (Anti-Obesity Drug) was originally developed by Professor Frank Ng at Monash University in Australia in the 1990s.  This research led to the discovery of a medication that had the fat burning effects of human growth hormone (HGH) without the muscle-building effect.

Other recent findings have shown, in addition to its fat burning properties, AOD 9604 has many other regenerative properties associated with growth hormone. Currently, trials are underway to show the application of AOD 9604 in osteoarthritis, hypercholesterolemia, bone, and cartilage repair.

Results of oral glucose tolerance test demonstrated that, in contrast with HGH, AOD 9604 has no negative effect on carbohydrate metabolism. There were no anti-AOD 9604 antibodies detected in any of the patients selected for antibody assay. There have been no serious or adverse reactions related to AOD 9604.

+ How does AOD-9604 Work?

AOD 9604 works to enhance the activity of the beta-3 receptors and improve metabolism in the human body. It has been shown to speed up the fat-burning process, perk up anabolism, and decrease catabolic effects. Several studies also confirm the efficacy of this drug in fat-burning.  AOD 9604 has been shown to trigger the release of extra fat from the fatty tissue and prevent fat from building up, especially in the abdominal area.

+  AOD-9604 Potential Benefits

  • Reduces body fat and can target visceral fat
  • Triggers fat release from obese fat cells
  • Mimics the way natural growth hormone regulates fat metabolism
  • No adverse effects on blood sugar or growth
  • Stimulate lipolysis
  • Inhibits lipogenesis or the transformation of foods into body fat
  • Shown to be favorable in cartilage repair and regeneration
  • Spares lean, muscle mass

+ low dose NALTREXONE (LDN)

+   HOW DOES low dose NALTREXONE work?

Low dose Naltrexone is an FDA approved medication that is often used off label for its benefit of appetite control, mood elevation, deeper sleep, improved insulin function, decrease in inflammation, as well as, improvements with many auto-immune issues.

Learn more about the continued research and uses of low dose naltrexone at www.lowdosenaltrexone.org  It is truly fascinating!

+   LOW DOSE NALTREXONE Potential Benefits

  • Regulates appetite – Low dose naltrexone may help normalize your metabolism, matching your appetite to resting energy expenditures.
  • Reduces insulin resistance – Low dose naltrexone can modulate cellular resistance to insulin, which may lead to weight loss.
  •  Improves sleep – Lack of sleep has negative effects on your body’s hormonal system, which can lead to weight gain. Naltrexone has shown to improve patients sleep cycles. Some report trouble sleeping for the 1st 2 weeks.
  • Improves mood – LDN can trigger an increase in serotonin and dopamine production, which decreases anxiety/stress and reduces emotional eating.
  • Improves thyroid function by helping the conversion of T4 –>T3
  • Decreases inflammation by lowering inflammatory cytokines

+ Benefits of LOW DOSE NALTREXONE and Weight Loss

Dopamine and endorphins such as serotonin are signals that pass through the body and affect your mood, sense of pleasure and sense of well-being. When certain endorphins are low, you may feel depressed and anxious.

Depression and anxiety are commonly linked to obesity. These mood disorders also make it difficult for people to lose weight because they may not have enough motivation or energy to exercise and eat well. Depression and anxiety medications can also cause weight gain. By restoring the body’s natural balance of dopamine and endorphins in some cases, LDN may help improve mood so that individuals can take better control of their food and lifestyle choices.

+ LOW DOSE NALTREXONE can improve sleep patterns

Not getting enough sleep is also a culprit when it comes to weight gain and inability to lose weight. LDN has shown to use your body’s circadian rhythm to restore natural sleep patterns so that you get better sleep. Getting the proper amount of sleep is critical for maintaining a healthy weight.  Taking LDN right before bed has been shown to induce vivid dreaming. We recommend taking our formulation in the morning if it is keeping you awake. This can happen for the first couple of weeks in some patients

+ LOW DOSE NALTREXONE can improve hunger and appetite control

Appetite is something that many people struggle with at some point in their lives. When your body has a hard time feeling full, you are more likely to overeat and eat poorer quality food, which can lead to more weight gain. Many patients report that LDN improves the body’s sense of fullness.

+ LOW DOSE NALTREXONE can decrease cravings for sugars/carbs

A slight increase in dopamine can create an improved sense of well-being. Without enough dopamine, you may feel anxious, flat, or depressed.  Often, we crave carbs and sugars for the short elevation of dopamine.  LDN may help decrease the carb and sugar cravings by helping the body restore the natural balance of dopamine. Many patients report a reduction in cravings for sugar and carbs.

+ LOW DOSE NALTREXONE can help inflammation/autoimmune issues

Probably the most well-known benefit of LDN is the effect it has on reducing inflammation. LDN is commonly used to help many inflammatory and auto-immune conditions such as fibromyalgia, psoriasis, IBS, Crohn’s disease, chronic pain, Hashimoto’s, allergies, HIV, MS, cancer, etc.

Inflammation can lead to insulin resistance, diabetes, and heart disease, all of which promote weight gain and obesity. By reducing inflammation, LDN helps prevent weight gain and the poor health outcomes associated with obesity.

+ LOW DOSE NALTREXONE can decrease insulin resistance

Studies have shown that using LDN helped to lower fasting insulin levels.  One of the primary causes of weight gain in many people is elevated levels of insulin.  Lowering insulin levels will help to slow down weight gain.

+ LOW DOSE NALTREXONE can improve thyroid function

Many studies have shown that low dose Naltrexone can help to increase total T3 levels and improve T4 to T3 conversion .

In my clinical practice, I have found that many patients with hypothyroidism and Hashimoto’s stand to benefit from the use of LDN (low dose naltrexone).  In patients with hypothyroidism and Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, Naltrexone may help to improve total T3 and improve T4 to T3 conversion in addition to reducing inflammation and autoimmunity. It may be necessary to lower thyroid hormone medications in some patients

+ LIPOTROPICS MIC – METHIONINE, INOSITOL, CHOLINE

Lipotropic compounds are substances that help stimulate the breakdown of lipid (fat) during metabolism. Lipotropic nutrients help to reduce the accumulation of excess fat in the liver and other tissues.

+ LIPOTROPICS METHIONINE

Methionine is one of the sulfur-containing amino acids (cysteine & cystine are others). It plays many important roles in the body.  It acts as a lipotropic agent to prevent excess fat buildup in the liver and tissues.  It can help fatigue and may be useful in allergies as it reduces histamine release.

  + LIPOTROPICS INOSITOL

Inositol is a nutrient belonging to the B vitamin complex. It aids in the metabolism of fats and helps reduce blood cholesterol. Inositol participates in the action of serotonin, a neurotransmitter known to control mood & appetite.

+ LIPOTROPICS CHOLINE

Choline is known to support the health of the liver in its processing and excretion of waste products. It is also required for the transport and metabolism of fats and cholesterol in the body which lends support to the endocrine, cardiovascular and hepatic systems.

+ VITAMIN B-12

B-12 is important to keep the brain and nervous system functioning optimally and for the formation of red blood cells. By synthesizing and regulating DNA, B-12 is involved in cellular metabolism. It also plays a vital role in fatty acid synthesis and energy production. Many medications, certain medical conditions, and the normal aging process can lead to a B12 deficiency.
