HCG DietGoing out to a restaurant on the HCG Diet is not as difficult as one might think. In fact, it is pretty simple and there are often more choices than most people could imagine. I have done a lot of experimenting in this department for my HCG Diet patients.
Thanks to the rising trend of cleansing programs most restaurants are used to catering to a customers specific food requests.

What to Avoid while Eating out on the HCG Diet

Be sure to have your food list with you and feel comfortable communicating with your waiter or waitress. You will want to obviously avoid any sauces, marinades, cheeses, grains, oils, butters and basically anything NOT on your HCG Diet food list.

What to Choose while Eating out on the HCG Diet

The best options will be a plain, grilled or cooked dry piece of lean steak, chicken breast, white fish or shrimp on a bed of greens. After the first week of the program, you should be able to eye ball the correct portion size (do your best).  You can also ask for some cauliflower, spinach or broccoli that is steamed and served plain.
You can use stevia where needed, apple cider vinegar and mustard with no sugars added. Some people enjoy hot sauce and Tabasco is a great option in these cases.  One of my favorite recipes for the HCG Diet is the “HCG Diet honey mustard salad dressing.”  This dressing is easy to make and it is not very perishable so that you can bring it with you.  In a blender, mix 1 cup of apple cider vinegar with 3 tbsp of your favorite mustard (0 sugar) and then squeeze a half of a lemon and 5-10 stevia drops to taste!
Enjoy your company!  Chew your food slowly and enjoy the texture and the flavors and remind yourself what a great job you are doing choosing foods that truly nourish your body.
