Loving my Air Fryer on the HCG DIET
The cooking method on the HCG DIET does matter. Everything you make on the program, I would always avoid low quality oils at all costs as they are not good for the body. On the HCG DIET, even healthy oils can interfere with the work of HCG’s potential ability to help the body burn fat stores for caloric fuel. The best methods of cooking you can do on the HCG diet are boiling, grilling, and steaming. I would also like to add baking, air frying and using the instant pot. What is an air fryer?
An air fryer is a modern kitchen appliance that can cook your food using the circulating hot air. This is through the convection mechanism. The air fryer is a smaller version of a convection oven with more fans. Convection is a heat transfer occurring because of bulk motion. The mechanical fan of the air fryer circulates the hot air around the food at high speed. It will cook your food and achieve a crispy layer as if it is fried in oil. Although, best not to use any oil if using your air fryer on phase 2 of the HCG DIET.
Can you use an air fryer during the HCG diet?
You can use the air fryer in cooking your foods for the HCG diet. Make sure that you are not adding too much cooking oils to the food. This method is better than submerging your foods in the oil. Avoid using butter and unhealthy cooking oils when you use an air fryer. There is no oil allowed on phase 2 of the HCG DIET program. However, if you want to try a little spray of MCT oil that can often work!
Spray a small amount of MCT oil on the food that you are air frying. You can also achieve the desired texture of foods. I really like the way the air fryer cooks food.
The HCG diet-approved foods you can cook in the air fryer
You can use the air fryer when you cook lean meats such as chicken, beef, shrimp, and fish. Most of the HCG diet approved meats do not need oil. You can put them in the air fryer just as they are without any oils. Stick to natural seasonings and spices that are HCG diet approved. You can also enjoy an air-fried vegetable such as broccoli. One of my favorite combinations is broccoli, onion and mushrooms. I also love zucchini in the air fryer. Chicken breast is also delicious in the air fryer.
