Refreshing Non-Caloric Drinks for the HCG Diet Protocol and Intermittent Fasting
It is always nice to have a non-caloric refreshing treat that you can have while on the HCG Diet protocol. These re also really fun to have while in your fasting window if you are an intermittent faster! I am a huge fan of both the HCG Diet protocol for weight loss and intermittent fasting for health! In both of these protocols, we are avoiding any artificial sweeteners as they can have a negative impact on insulin and also on appetite control due to the sweet flavor. In the past few years, I have worked on adjusting to non-sweet drinks and it has been amazing.
HCG Diet and Intermittent Fasting Friendly Beverages
Tea and coffee with no added cream/milk or sweeteners are always great choices. Water is probably the very best option! You can also dial into sparkling waters and the effervessence can be a real treat! You can also try making iced tea and cold brew. I love making “sun tea” by putting a big glass jug with my favortie tea bags out on my porch and letting it steep in the sun for a few hours.
Delicious Recipes for Non-Caloric Beverages
- 2 quarts water
- 1 lemon, cut into slices
- 2 limes, cut into circular slices
- 1/2 cup mint leaves, chopped if sesired
- 1/2 cup cucumber, sliced thin
How to make Citrus/Mint water
- Pour water into a pitcher and then add the lemon, lime, mint and cucumber. Stir well and refrigerate! It may take 2-3 days for the flavors to infuse together. Stir daily as desired.
