Spicing up Phase 2 HCG Diet Meals

hcg diet portlandThe HCG Diet menu does not have to bee boring.  In fact, I love to see my patients get creative and learn how amazing fresh and dried herbs and spices can make your meals divine. It is so important to make sure your food has a lot of flavor. The more flavor you can pack into your HCG Diet Phase 2 meals, the easier it is to stick with it.  If you keep your food really bland, you may find yourself feeling unsatisfied!

Fresh/dried herbs in reasonable amounts are a wonderful addition to any HCG Diet protocol:

  • Parsley
  • Cilantro
  • Basil
  • Garlic
  • Ginger
  • Rosemary
  • Sage
  • Thyme
  • Mint
  • And many, many more.

Sauces and Dressings on the HCG Diet Protocol

Bare Flavors is an amazing company that makes lots of amazing, clean dressings and sauces that work well on the HCG Diet protocol.  Check out their website for their amazing line up. Unlike many other HCG Diet approved dressings, these do not use sucralose as a sweetener. They have a new “poppy seed” dressing and it almost feels like you are cheating. It is delicious.  There is also the HCG DIET “honey mustard dressing” recipe in the HCG Diet manual that I just love and the HCG Diet cookbook pdf that I sent all of my patients also has a myriad of great dressing and sauce recipes.

Other HCG Diet Flavor Boosters

Lemons are a great way to add a zing to any HCG Diet dish.  We allow up to 1 lemon daily on our HCG Diet protocol.  Braggs liquid amino’s can offer a boost of flavor to any dish. I prefer the spray bottle as one or two sprays will evenly coat your plate.  Nutritional yeast can also offer a nice flavor boost. Sprinkle 1 tbsp evenly across your plate and enjoy!  Vanilla extract, almond extract and stevia are also nice additions to the program.
